Grand City Tour + Prague Castle + Charles Bridge

If you decide to take this tour, our guide will acquaint you thoroughly with Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and with its thousand years old history and architecture. From the comfort of our air-conditioned bus we will show you first the New Town with the Wenceslas Square, the National Museum, the National Theatre, the panorama of Prague Castle and the Lesser Town as well as the Charles Bridge.
Then you will continue walking in the courtyards of the Prague Castle, become acquainted with its history and you will visit the inside of its biggest monument, Saint Vitus Cathedral. After visiting the grounds of Prague Castle, you will descend to the Lesser Town and the Kampa Island. The Charles Bridge, the architectural gem of Central Europe will lead you to the opposite bank of the Vltava River, from where you will continue on foot to the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter.
Although this is a combined bus and walking tour, it is more physically demanding. We therefore recommend that you wear comfortable shoes and that you should be in good physical condition.

Guided tour through the University Campus

The campus of the Charles University consists of many historical and modern building in different quarters of the city of Prague. Nearby city centre it includes f. e. Albertov or Klementinum, too, but our tour is focused on the most famous one – on Karolinum.

Karolinum is not only one of the oldest dormitories in the Central Europe but it bears significant marks of the struggle between two Prague universities, the Czech and the German, which co-existed next to each other for over half a century at the end of the 19th and the 1st half of the 20th centuries, too.

An approximately one-and-half-hour-tour will lead you through the Old Town Square towards Karolinum campus buildings, will mark some outstanding personalities joined to the premises like Albert Einstein or Ernst Mach in the past on the way. You will have an opportunity to visit the temporary exhibition The World Press Photo which is right now situated in Karolinum.

Evening River Cruise with Dinner

You don't have any plan for tonight yet? We would be pleased to take you by bus to our restaurant tour boat. During three-hour-cruise you can enjoy tasty dinner and live music. Our guide will be available the whole time to provide information about the beautifully illuminated monuments on both banks of the Vltava River as you pass them by. Of course, there is a bar with a wide assortment of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and pleasant serving staff for you on call. Tour ends on the riverfront in the center of Prague.

We offer you an excursion to one of the best known glass factories located not far from Prague. First you will visit the production area, where you can admire the craftsmanship of the local blowers and cutters. Of course, a shop is located in the factory, where you will be able to purchase products for a reasonable price.

Kutna Hora

Kutná Hora, a medieval silver mining centre, was once the second richest city in the Kingdom of Bohemia. The former wealth of the town is today reflected in the variety of architectural monuments and in the preserved structure of the town centre. The tour of Kutná Hora will not only take you to St Barbara’s Cathedral but also to many beautiful gothic, renaissance and baroque townhouses and to visit a Unixe stone fountain from the 15th century. You will also visit one of the most interesting burial grounds in the
world: the Sedlec Ossuary. This chapel is decorated with more than 40 000 human bones, arranged into a chandelier, the Schwarzenberg Coat-of-Arms, and so on. Kutná Hora has been on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage sites since 1995.

Karlstejn

Karlštejn Castle is one of the most visited castles in the Czech Republic. Built by Charles IV between 1348 and 1355 it originally served to safeguard the imperial and royal treasure and the Crown jewels and served also as the archive of state documents. This gothic castle, enchanting you with its monumental architecture is situated about 38 km southwest of Prague. After climbing the hill, an hour lasting tour of the interiors awaits you. Your guide will acquaint you with not only the history of the castle, but also with the life of Charles IV and fine arts during his reign.
